50 series Shimanos are classic and are still relevent so the Core remains in high esteem to me. I have all but the Core and would love one to cap my collection. They are tough, easy to dial in, reliable, small and versitle. Plus you can do tons of aftermarket stuff with them if you desire. Still a top reel in my eyes as well.

Holding curado 70/71 has almost same size feeling as core 50/51.

After carefully tuning, curado 70/71 should be able to outperform core 50/51mg...

Core 50/51 was very high standard reel.

But curado's 70/71 manufacture tolerance has already been higher than core 50/51...
