15 Aldebaran BFS vs. 16 Aldebaran BFS

Pros/cons between these two reels? This would be my first BFS reel and any/all info is welcome. Thank you!

The only thing the 15 has over the 16 is it palms a little better.

I have had both. I'd take the 16 all day over the 15. The 16 has a very slight edge in lightness of lures it can toss but is way better with wind conditions.

Should I wait for a Calcutta BFS?

I imagine the Conquest BFS will be a smoother and more refined reel but the casting should be about the same. You will pay a decent difference in cash for that luxury as well. I noticed the handle play is less with the 16 than the 15.

The reels are pretty much the same but the braking system is so much better on the 16.

Should I wait for a Calcutta BFS?

It depends on what you want to use it for.

I will say...I'm basically already sold on the CQ BFS, but that Scorpion BFS looks pretty damn sweet

16 bfs - Mag braking, audible clicking drag, xship, 8:1 gears
Cq bfs hg - Should be pretty similar to the 16 bfs xg with the added smoothness of being a conquest. 6:8 gearing

Im pretty sure they will use the exact same spool. If they do casting should be similar.
