The regular Tatula...the 100...the first...impressions?
How does the original Tatula 100 still stand up? I have a chance to pick one (or a few up) for $88 shipped in either the 6.3:1 or the 7.3:1 ratio. Which one would you get? Where do they stand compared to the upgraded models that Daiwa now offers...Type-R, CT, CT Type-R, CT SV (soon), among others like the Zillion, etc? Are they still a good reel to match on my 734 Fury and how do they perform? Thank you and best wishes on the water!

Biggest complaint here in Aus with them is the corroding clutch return and drag pressure plate, and the bearings are particularly bad.
Otherwise they're a good reel IMHO, can't be compared to a Zillion due to manufacturing materials being different however in essence they work the same,

I have 7 in the 7.3 and Type R and have not had any problems with any of them! I fish fresh and salt water here in Louisiana
I wouldn't be afraid to get them.

Mine was really smooth and cast great, but it just didn't palm well for me and I got rid of it.
