Daiwa Deep Cranking Reel

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

SV103 6.3 would handle 6xds fine and be versatile in case you switch it one day. You can also search and find Zillion TWS 5.5s for really cheap.

Does anyone know if the Zillion gear sets are swappable in the SV103?

If you mean og zillion, yes. If you mean tws, no, those gears are bigger.
This is the way.

I use a td luna 103 to great effect, but would rather have the low speed zillion tws. Wish they'd have made them in lefty!
This is the way.

Check the auction website. They're about $90 cheaper than TW right now.

one of those days today I guess

but I've been using a ringa SSS and I had it sent to Ian for tuning with a 1012 spool but after some time I went to a IS stock spool and I actually liked it. But I would have to say that in the end I went back to the stock ringa spool and I've had no issues.
I didn't upgrade the gearing but I did upgrade the handle and its has served me very very well. I am looking forward to some more ledge and summer time deeper than 10 feet cranking.
