Pitching reel

Looking for suggestions on a pitching reel and gear ratio. Shimano or Diawa does not matter. Plus and minus of each brake system. Not to concerned with price.
This will be going on a G Loomis MBR 844 GLX

And what weights would you be using most often?

May seem like a stupid question but you could put a Z2020 on it but it won't be balanced so thats kinda why i asked.
I would just on a whim go with a core MG7 100.. It palms well and is light weight. and you could add a shallow spool.
Some may suggest a TWS daiwa or some variant of, I've not experienced any of them.. but I would say maybe a PXTR or ss sv 103.. And Maybe the new Curado K series will do you just right with a good price point.

Yes the current model. Looking at maybe 5/8 oz +trailer max. More likely 3/8 to 1/2 oz + trailer.

$200 or less - Tatula SV TW 8.1
$300 or less - Zillion SV TW 9.1 (JDM)

I like Daiwa''s brake system for pitching. You don't have to touch the brake dial to go from pitching to casting.

Pick up the Exsence DC (previous model). Still available on JDM websites and eBay for around 3 bills. Built like a tank, 8.0:1, and DC braking = winner.

A TWS or SV reel. Or even better, a SV + TWS reel.

Do the Metanium's aluminum gears hold up well to that style of fishing? Have seen a few posts/threads concerning their durability. I use an old 9.1 Zillion TWS for pitching because it's a tank. Would rather have my Zillion SV on there, but I use mine for finesse casting.

If going the Shimano route, I would get the new Curado K, it seems like it will be solid and last a while, doesn't have to be $500 to be good. Though I would think Metanium and Chronarch MGL's for my style of fishing, I am not sure composite frames or aluminum gears could stand your style. I figure either wod be fine,I recently held the Chronarch MGL and was shocked by how solid it felt. I don't believe that composite frames automatically means a weak or fragile reel.

I have a new Chonarch MGL, but it is in the 6.XX ratio. Nice reel. No I don't have to spend 5 bills to be happy. Just had to set an upper limit. Also have a Steeze SV TW in 7.1 that is on my worm rod. Have been so busy with work that I have not had a chance to fish it.

Since you already have a Chronarch MGL and a Steez SV TW, How about something old school like a TDZ Type R+ or a TD Ito?
Love both of these reels for pitching.

Curado/Scorpion 70 if you're just going to be dedicating it as a pitching reel. Very easy to palm, and lightweight.
