Good news (I think) for SV103 owners...
Good news (I think) for SV103 owners...
Just picked up a 2017-2018 Daiwa catalog with all the new products and the SV103H and XS both still appear in the catalog. Could it be they are not discontinued? The 105 is also in there along with all the new casting and spinning stuff for 2018. Just passing this along. Thanks and good fishing!

It sounds like a good news for sure!
I also wish they could upgrade SV103 with clicking casting control.

I picked up the catalog at icast , when I got home I saw it in there along with the sv105. kinda had me scratching my head. tackle trap still has them up on their site , they should know.

I was kind of hoping the would update the SV105. Hoping for a 50 size Zillion SV or they could rebadge as a Pixy in the $300 range or at worst a cheaper Tatula SV 50...

I'd love to see daiwa build a 6.5 oz reel , that would stand up to flipping & punching , under $200.DirtyD64 wrote:I was kind of hoping the would update the SV105. Hoping for a 50 size Zillion SV or they could rebadge as a Pixy in the $300 range or at worst a cheaper Tatula SV 50...

Does anyone make that reel for under $200? Curado 70 is close but does it fit that bill?johnD wrote:I'd love to see daiwa build a 6.5 oz reel , that would stand up to flipping & punching , under $200.DirtyD64 wrote:I was kind of hoping the would update the SV105. I hope so! I love my 103's some of my favorite bulletproof reels of all time .

Just ordered another from TTT (with TT discount) and got one in the mail today from a forum member! That will make 5 total so far if the order goes through (2 103H and 3 103XS)! I also have a few others in this platform (TD-Z, TD-X, and IP reels). It may be the the most classic fishing platform ever created. And I was (and still am) a Shimano guy who also equally loves Daiwa!
