Gander Mountain reel oil and grease

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Gander Mountain reel oil and grease

Post by Big-Bass » Tue Sep 05, 2017 7:09 pm

Before our local store closed, I picked up a few bottles of Gander reel grease and oil for something like $.39 or $.50 per unit. Is this stuff any good...it is a forest green color in the bottle? Not that I am concerned and could ditch it if it stinks since it was cheap beyond belief but is it any better than the standard Abu stuff you can find anywhere? Thanks!
