Steez SV 103 gear swap?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Steez SV 103 gear swap?

Post by iabass8 » Wed Nov 08, 2017 6:55 pm

Anybody know of alternative gears that drop into a Steez SV 103HL? Brass or aluminum is fine.

I would think that all of the original left handed Steez gears should fit. Look to see what the Tackle Trap has. I bought my Steez SV 103XS because it has brass gears. You could use it as a light duty flipping reel. I'll leave the aluminum gears for BFS and small fish.
