Steez SV Vs Metanium MGL Who wins?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Steez SV Vs Metanium MGL Who wins?

Post by Kurt L » Mon Nov 20, 2017 1:47 pm

For those of you who have used both how do you think they compare? I have a Met. 13 & MGL but have been considering adding a Steez SV!

Thanks, Kurt

MGL casts farther, Steez has more control. Both solid and smooth reels. Can't go wrong with either.

Steez has oodles of spool options, and therefore takes the win in my eye. I can make that reel do just about anything I want it to. The stock spool in the SV TW is a versatility monster in itself.
To me the Steez SV TW is the most comfortable platform made, plus she's super sexy. I had been a fan of the T3 platform. The Steez SV TW is a shredded, refined version imo. It's honestly the nicest lo pro I've fished. Keeping fingers crossed Megabass starts to turn some out sooner than later.
