SV105P
Re: SV105P
So the line guide and handle nut cover is not light gold like in all the pictures? I have never seen one like that. I thought the P was gold and the HS was red.
Re: SV105P
I own both the Alphas SV105P and HS. I don't recall ever seeing an Alphas SV/SV105 with gold trim.
Daiwa's color scheme is usually...
Gunmetal - 5.X speed
Gold - 6.X speed
Red - 7.X speed
Purple /Lime Green (JDM) - 8.X speed+

Re: SV105P
I ordered the SV105P line guide from the Tackle Trap for my SV105H because I don't care for the red that came stock. The P line guide has a very slight gold tint to it. It's doesn't match the silver of the frame very well. I thought it was supposed to be silver. I think it was probably a bad anodizing run from Daiwa. I can't imagine that is what they wanted. Either way, it seems that the P line guide isn't a perfect match to the silver frame.Big-Bass wrote:So the line guide and handle nut cover is not light gold like in all the pictures? Re: SV105P
Oh ok...I thought the pictures made it look like light gold not like the standard gold on the SV103H reels or the deeper gold on the newer Tatula SV reels in the 6.3:1. I kind of like the idea of the really like gold color.

I never noticed the gold tint on my Alphas SV105P. I'll have to examine it closer later
Re: SV105P
It may just be a bad batch, and limited to a few, but I have seen several that have the slight gold tint. You may be lucky.Tony9 wrote:I never noticed the gold tint on my Alphas SV105P. I'll have to examine it closer later
Re: SV105P
A px68 guide is what you need if you want a silver guide to match the Alphas SV reels.

Re: SV105P
I stand corrected. After taking a closer look in daylight the line guide on the 105P does have a very slight champagne tint, but that is the only piece. Everything else is silver. It doesn't bother me too much, but if somebody happens to have a silver line guide laying around I may be interested in taking it off your hands.
just hotdogin it
