NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Its clearly a nut cover, not a handle nut. 5$ to replace with a colored one.

Yes, you should just get the steez. They are amazing.

daiwa rep at icast told me the tatula100 has brass gears.
weight reduction came from smaller size overall.

Between the cheap nut cover and the spider graphic on the side, no thanks. No reason they couldn't put a nicer aluminum nut lock on there, even the cheap sub-100 dollar reels have it.

How many Tatula variations have come out since they debuted, what, 4 or 5 years ago?? I'm assuming the SV version will come out at the next classic.

I didn't realise Shimano invented fishing reel spools.

Spools? No. Spools with shaft? Pretty sure.

This spool structure has fewer parts and handles heavy loads when cranking. Its supported by three bearings. Right?

Mag dial does not look like it is recessed as much as I was hoping for. WTF Daiwa!

Its recessed enough imo, it palms much smaller than the CT's. I'm hoping they release a type R.
