If I could hack this thread.

Steez SV TW vs Steez A:

Once you changed the Steez A's spool, is there any difference between the two reels, besides weight?

TW - Not even close, especially for someone with smallish paws

I think both are comfortable for how I hold a combo. I’ll give a slight edge to the sv tw though. If we are also factoring in price, then I’m og Steez all the way. Sv tw isn’t worth the money in my opinion. It does nothing that my $200 Alphas sv can’t do, and it does nothing my $200 sv103 can’t do. Yes, it’s a very nice and well built reel, but unless you’re an enthusiast I don’t see it being worth $450-500. I enjoy mine a lot but I got it at such a price that it was a no brainer to buy it. I’d of been stupid to pass it up, and I had to see for myself what all the talk was about.

One obvious (but unmentioned) difference is that they share the same frame dimensions, but the Steez A is aluminum and the Steez SV TW is magnesium. But I do realize that you mentioned the weight difference, so you sort of indirectly said it anyway.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

How did Steez A even enter the discussion?

OG Steez is the original generation. You know the 103 and 100 series .

The OG Steez is a very compact reel in the 103 size.

I more or less agree, I was hoping it would be a Goldilocks reel to fit between the Alphas and sv103, but it's not markedly better then either of them (esp the sv103) and for my hands, far less universally comfortable then with of them as well. Right now mine is sitting on the shelf as I could not get a comfortable grip on it mounted to the rod I bought it for (MBR 783c glx). I thought it would be the perfect reel for a 3 power loomis but the "bump" at the back-bottom of the handle side smushes my ring finger when I plam the reel.
