It's all trickery. I'm pretty sure there will only be one color.
It has a Dawia logo on the palm plate that the current Steez CT 70 does not have. This would indicate that the reel has different pain that the JDM Steez CT 70.
...or it just means that they put the stylized "D" logo on the USDM model, but not on the JDM version. :big grin:
Yes, I believe it's called photo editing? I mean hopefully I'm wrong. Two flavors would be cool, but I don't recall Daiwa making two separate same reels different colors for different markets in the past? If it is black, maybe that would explain the price difference?
I would pay extra for a jet black, which is ashame..

I noticed they have have the same IPT listed for both ratios. That's nothing new for Daiwa USA, though.

Based on U.S. prices, I see no reason to buy the domestic version when they JDM version is much cheaper (Japan Tackle has it for $529.00).

I don't see how they expect to sell at $700. That is unreal, for that price you could get an SV TW Steez AND ZPI spool from the US with the recent added $50. A smaller frame and 30mm spool shouldn't warrant an increase that premium; doesn't really bother me though, I would obviously order JDM.

I got mine for $485 shipped from JLS, and a free Vision 110. It got here in 3 business days from Japan. But the OG Steez was $650 before they went to the EX model. Don't know why anyone would pay that much for this reel, unless they just don't know about buying JDM. On the up side-when they don't sell well here, Daiwa USA will discount them down to about what you would pay from Japan. Then you can have one with a warranty, if that sort of thing bothers you.

JDM prices might shoot up in a reaction to the TW price. I picked up my Alphas SV for $185 from Japan off Ebay where they were that price all day everyday until the the reel was launched in the US as the SV105 and priced at $225. Alphas SV prices shot up overnight in reaction to the SV105 price.

i'm not generally 1 to complain about pricing, you either will spend whatever or you won't, but this seems a tad bit extreme to me.
