Reel for cranking

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Between a J dream 5.3:1 or an Antares 5.8:1, which one would you go with?

Antares
Why is there a concerted effort of hate? And why is it allowed?

I have the 2012 Antares. It gt the 5.6 gears and is made for cranking.

I put a 102mm handle and power knobs from a Shimano Stile 100XG on mine. Butter smooth, powerful and, launches crankbaits.

You should be able to find a good deal on one with the new Antares coming out.
