cal did a review on a tatule type-r reel in 2013(6 years gone by and i've not lined both of mine yet)here:

i'm trying to find a spare spool for bfs for one of mine. i'm seeing a bunch online.to my question: is my reel considered a CS, CT, T3?? all of the above? are the spools compatible with DAIWA FUEGO CT spools?

Your reel is the original Tatula. Pretty sure your spool is not compatible with the spool of any CT reel. I think it is wider and deeper than the CT spool. RAY'S STUDIO is the only one that makes a BFS spool for your reel. Check Aliexpress.

Yes the ct type r bfs spool and original tatula are not compatible.
I sold my ct type r without knowing this and went to drop the bfs spool into one of my original tatula and no-go.
I suppose I will just have to get another ct type r.

The only bfs spool you will find is form Ray's Studio. It is the Tatula 100 spool. This is not to be confused with the current Tatula 100 which has the same spool dimensions as the Tatula CT. You want the old Tatula 100. There is also a long cast spool which is like an SV spool for the old tats but with a stiffer spring. Both are still available.
