switching handle on new STci4+ 4000?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

switching handle on new STci4+ 4000?

I've got whatever the newest version is of the stradic ci4+ and due to elbow injury was attempting to switch the handle to the opposite side of the reel body and I was having issues. Are both sides of the main gear threaded or was I missing something?

Yes both sides are threaded but if the shoulder skirt of the handle winds out a bit over the shaft thread you will experience that inability to wind it in on the opposite side.

Wind in the pink inner sleeve.
