ZPI Spool help

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

ZPI Spool help

Post by goldrod » Wed Jul 10, 2019 1:04 pm

Ok I’ve got two zpi spools of the same color
One is a pg and the other an m, but I can’t tell the difference
Is there a way to differentiate between the two

The PG is noticeably deeper than the M.

May seem basic, but when my many ZPI M and PG are full of line I look at them from the side (for depth impression). But I often need a few spools to be sure that I am looking at an M/PG. Would have been nice with a bit of text as on many of the Daiwa SLP/RCS spools.

I was thinking it was but would have to unspool a reel to know for sure.

the one with more line on it (i.e. PG) should be heavier if it's both of the same line/material?

I got it sorted out. Thanks all
New problems now. Three reels on the shelf now
I’m trying a G1 in my Ringa so that put a Steez on the shelf
to add to one that’s already on the shelf. This is a never ending hobby.
