Chatterbait reel

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Just curious, what rod/rods do you normally use?

This is very subjective. I like a 6.3 reel, because I tend to reel fast and blow it out at the surface. It's hard for me to slow down. I currently use an old TD-V 103H for blade baits. I know a guy who uses a 9:1 JDM Zillion SV TW. I say use what works for you. The SV 103H is a good candidate, if you can find one now.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

tataula ttu100. steez feel and it'll take the beating without making me cringe because i didn't spend 500 on an actual steez. i use my steez' for the less abusive techniques.

Pretty much any Zillion variant, OG or otherwise for me. The best I've used so far is a 6.3 TWS with Air HD's, a 100mm handle, and 40# braid on a MH glass composite OG Tatula, the 721MHRB-G.
This is the way.

I may have to locate one of those. This IP79 is freakin' sweet for frogging. This would actually make a good chatterbait setup for 1/2-1oz baits in grass if the reel wasn't so fast:

IP Sifu!

What's your budget?

I use a Shimano 16 Antares DC for 1/2oz. blades, and I am really happy with it. 8-)
