Shimano Aldebaran

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Are there any differences in these reels? I realize the 31 model is the JDM version, but are there other slight differences?

Shimano 18 Aldebaran MGL 31 HG vs Shimano AldMGL 51 HG (from the Shimano website). Thanks in advance.

The only difference is the spool capacity: 100m/8lb (0,235mm) vs 100m/10lb (0,260mm).
