That handle is gross. It looks like it came off some $20 Aliexpress reel.

The new Tatula SV is also disappointing to look at. Same ugly tribal spider side plate. Same cc knob as a regular Tatula. No color mag dials. Ugly plastic handle nut retainer. Same frame mill work as Tatula Elite. Low energy. Low effort.

Maybe Doyo or whoever made the CG reels for Daiwa did such a good job, they let THEM take the Steez line over.

Man, $600+ for a bfs reel is up there no matter how you look at it. I can put together an aldebaran bfs with a 4.75g avail spool for around $400 and not have the 5 dollar handle look. I don't know if the 4mm smaller spool will make that big of a difference compared to the aldebaran or not but I'll reserve judgement until they are out.

Maybe this new AIR series will have a cheaper alphas AIR option with the new 28mm spool. Or if they sell the spool by itself maybe I can make spacers for the spacers for the current alphas ct to fit the smaller spool.

Prices are getting ridiculous. Not crazy about the line capacity or the Daiwa logo. Sometimes disappointment is a good thing.... On the wallet.

Well, you can probably get more than 45m of 6# fluoro, but if you use nylon spooling on more may damage the spool if the line takes on enough water to swell. If you can get 45m of 8#, that should be what? 55m of 6#? That's a lot for teeny tiny baits and weightless roboworms and the like.

Plus you can always drop down to 4#...

Its meme-worthy to joke about, I joked about it too. I have been and have seen situations where a fast reel is the difference.

Jumping out the most to me was when my buddy had a big bass hit his lipless bait and ran right toward him. He was reeling and struggled to pick up enough slack for a good hookset. The fish jumped in front of him and easily tossed the bait. He was using a 5 something ratio. It was a nice fish and, I KNOW, if he was using like a 7.2 ratio, he would have had it.

Fast reel is the difference when they are running at you, which is why many an angler like Ike run towards back of boat or up the hill to catch up.

This is the new gen Tatula SV. This new one is based off the new Tatula 100 and the one on tackle warehouse is based off the older Tatula CT. This new one is much more compact and may even have an aluminum handle side plate like the Tatula 100 Elites.
