The T3 1016 spool is a classic and the FX73SV spool is pretty great as well.
Off topic, sorry, but: What do you use the T3 1016 spool for? I have used mine in my T3 a few times but found that it needed quite heavy and aerodynamic lures to perform well. Maybe - probably - I just have not used the spool enough...
I use the T3 1016 in my IS71 reels, a very good all around spool. 10-12lb. floro good distance and good control. Great for squarebills. With 20-30 braid great for topwaters. I think it's one of those "sleeper spools" that will shine in other platforms.

I have only used it in a Steez, TDZ, and MB IS and it has been a great all around spool. I throw a lot of spinnerbaits and TRigs. It is pretty much the gold standard for high capacity Mag Force Z imo.

Thanks guys. I will have to give it a go in my Steez and Zillion variants. Plan on doing a lot of Spinnerbait, Chatterbait, and Swim Jig fishing in 2020 - lures from 1/4 to 3/4 oz...

I think it is a spool you don't want to over fill with line also, but my memory is fuzzy.

Makes me curious how the 1010 spool would perform in one of the OG Steez platforms. I can't recall if the 1016 and 1010 spools had significantly different size inductors. I'd imagine they are close to the same, being they were both originally designed for the T3.

Received Steez air today....as previously noted drag star does not click and no audiable drag sound. Spool weight 8.1grams with bearing. It's too cold to fish in my area so I did few casts in a yard with 2.5 and 5gram plastics, put about 40 yards of 8lb mono on a light rod rated (1/16 to 3/8), don't have real bfs rod yet. Spool is very fast, and the lowest I could go on mag dial is 16 before backlashes started which is surprising. Even on max brake of 20 i'm getting pretty good distance. I don't see how reel can be used with mag dial on 10 or under, unless there is something wrong with my reel.
Definetely casts easier/further those lures than my Steez CT but again CT is more manageable. This was just quick preview untill I do more testing, but definetely wild spool in my reel.

Nice review! =D>

Maybe your rod makes that? Too stiff for those weights?

My brake setting is at "7". If you whip to hard then you will backlash even on 16. Daiwa recommends 30m of line for max performance. Im using 30m of 6lb FC Sniper.

I'm using 0.3PE braid, jig 0.6g cast about 40-45 feet, with mono 2lb go 1g total weight up to 40ft too. My brake on 5-6.I spool just 50m line.Reel in stock work good from 0.6g,and great with 0.9-1.0g...also,KTF already mare a new 28mm spool for Steez Air,weight just 5.4g (against 6.3g stock spool). My is on the way

Anyone weight the stock spool without the bearing?

I also wonder how the spool actually differs from the KTF aftermarket spool.

Oh,yea! "Das is fantastish!" :D I spool 100m of Gosen Tiny PE Aji #0.2,and this spool cast easy 0.5g total weight...even a 0.35g jig I'm able to cast overhead  close to 30 feet. Of course with good rod (test up to 3g)...So,I'm holding a bunch of really UL reels and spools, but this set-up is fantastic! If you can get it, the rest of your staff you can give to kids and wife for fishing
Seriously,it's atomic bomb for UL fishing.
On pic weight without bearing
