You can definetly feel the magnesium frame flexing on the steez SV when setting the hook and fighting a good sized fish. The metanium mgl flexes too.I'm curious to see if the core solid body on the new metanium flexes as much as the metanium mgljprice92 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 5:52 pmNice I thought about the steez a but I got a bantam mgl for heavier baits and it’s awesome, smooth and solid reel.CheezusCrust wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:11 amI have both the steez A and SV and I feel like the A is more refined and smooth.

Re: Daiwa Steez
What do you tmean saying frame flexing? I can feel nothing when I'm fighting 4/5 lb fish with steez 100/103/ svtw. Nothing is flexing or moving.

Which handle did you buy? I’m looking for one, I love the reel but the handle is tiny.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 6:47 pmCorrect, the SV TW stock handle is 80mm and the Steez A handle is 90mm. I put a 90mm handle on one of mine and its about perfect now.

Re: Daiwa Steez
Agreed, flexing of the magnesium frame in any Steez I've ever fished, which has been a lot of reels, a lot of time on the water, and a lot of big fish, never have I encountered anything I'd even remotely consider a flex in the frame. That's one of the strangest things I've ever read on Tackle Tour
There are so many great handles for that reel from an inexpensive 90mm Zillion TWS 90mm handle all the way up from there. There are a bunch of options in stock at The Tackle Trap. I agree though, I prefer a 90mm handle for Steez SV TW and Steez CT. I like the 90mm Carbon Fiber Handle Arm on both along with the stock knobs and bearings.

I put a 2019 Tatula handle on mine, along with original smooth black Daiwa knobs.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
