My two favorite OG Zillion framed reels. One is an IP79 stunning red LTD. I’m not sure how many were really made but I heard it was around 20 of them, but I can’t confirm. I threw a 100mm MB carbon handle, stock knobs, carbontex drag washers, YT fusion bearings, and it rides the MB Evoluzion Diablo Type L rod. The other is my J Dream 7.9. It started its life as a 5.3 model, but I changed the gears and side plate to 7.9 specs. I added carbontex drag washers, ZPI bearings, SLP 95 carbon handle with silver SLP knobs, and it rides around on my B70h Luxxe Oltre.

I don't think exact numbers are available, but it was less than 100. It came with a matching Pop X. Beautiful reel

I was trying to pull the trigger on an IP or J-Dream in 7.9, but then the SV103XS came out. My reels get beat up on the deck running the big Western waters that I fish. I would definitely have a cover on that LTD at all times.

I definitely keep all my reels covered when not in use. The SV103 is a must. Since I’m bored on lockdown right now here’s a pic of mine. It’s a half breed zillion anyways. Most have seen it already but whatever.

That's a beauty for sure. Love me some purple, especially those knobs. I remember when you could get those and other colors like the metallic red wine, gold, etc. easily from overseas for normal prices. I saw those purples ones on ebay recently and the asking price was $160

Here's mine, all zillion 7.1 guts besides TDZ magnets.

Thanks, and True! I was told 20, but that never mattered to me I love the crackle paint and the matching pop X.

Thanks! I love purple reel parts also. Yeah it’s crazy how expensive parts for reels can get. I would never pay those asking prices for these parts. If a good deal comes along I’ll grab them but if I miss them and the market on them blows up I usually pass. I love the handle on your SV 103. Not many people have that handle. I wonder how the TD-Z magnets effect performance compared to the stock magnets? I never tried swapping zillion to TD-Z or the other way around. Pretty cool either way.

Ya know, I didnt even think about that. I saw that the part numbers were the same but I guess that's just for the magnet holder and set plate. Didnt think about the actual magnets being different. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so now I'm really interested in if there are any differences with my stock SV103.
