Steez sv103 spool.

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Steez sv103 spool.

Post by fishonsc » Wed Apr 15, 2020 9:39 am

I have been use my Steez 103sv to throw 1/4 to 5/16 crankbaits. It does a OK job but I feel it could be better. The reel is stock. Should I upgrade the bearings or put in a new spool? Which spool would yall recommend?
Thanks

Honestly if you’re trying to free the spool up I’d stay with changing the inductor spring or rotor. Both are cheaper than a new spool and are known to make SV spools quicker. There’s a thread I’ll link at the bottom that covers doing this.
