Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

All I want from Diawa is to bring back the sv103 and offer a compact sub-$300 reel that takes 34mm spools.
You can build one for around $200 right now from OG Zillion guts and a TDZ magnet set plate or just get spacers. I'm honestly surprised Tackle Trap hasn't sold out on all their SV103 frame kits. A lot cheaper than most of the $300 plus Sv103s that have been posted for sale lately.
I never thought about that.
I’m in the market for another reel sorta

The only thing that can be a pain is popping out the AR bearing from the Zillion frame. Not bad if you have an arbor press. The SV103 frame doesn't come with it.

A socket that fits snugly in the outside opening makes it easy to tap out the a/r bearing.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

That's what I use under the arbor press. Just make sure you realize what's the bearing and what's still the frame. I made that mistake once...
