Whoa, just saw there's a 500 model, and they even call out ice fishing on the product page. Kind of a spendy panfish reel but dang! Pretty cool of them to offer it. If I get one it'll be a 3000XG, looks like they don't have a 3000HG which is fine since I prefer quick line takeup on spinning gear.

Where are you seeing price? The TwinPower is $400, whereas FishUSA shows the Vanford at ~$240. The TwinPower is a lot heavier as well, kind of a different reel. I tried 2 different ones and neither were smooth enough- both had an annoying rubbing sound that didn't say "$400 reel" to me.
