New Daiwa reel?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

If it is a reel, I just hope it’s a Japanese made one

Red tribal spider on a Tatula. Probably a Tatula Type R or some stupid sider version of some other noisy unrefined Malaysian Tatula thing.

Good luck with that. Only their Steez lineup, Millionaire/Ryoga and Alphas CT are made in Japan now.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Cheaper labor and more expensive prices. I'd be interested in that Alphas we talked about coming to fruition.

I was late to the hate every new reel because it is a tatula party. It caught up to me all at once. The pic of the guy palming the reel with the red spider on it sent me off. That was the bridge too far. The final straw.

Imagine they introduce a Z1016 that has a Tat frame and is made in Thailand. How exciting would that be?

I think it is just that. Daiwa engineers have read Tackletour discussions and decided to create our deepest wish. 'You have long long time wishing Z1016. Now here it is. Price tag is naturally a little high, but this is ultra premium product in famous Tatula frame.'

Zillion 7 (Red accents) and Zillion 5 (black accents) to go with the Zillion 10

Maybe even a Zillion 6 (gold accents)

So here is what I think, BC fans will be disappointed. Minimum new in the BC world. Lots new in the Spinning world. Several variations of current products, more upscale additions to spinning reels. Don't know about rods. Some changes in the under $100 rods but those are already available at TW. Time will tell whether I am right are just another voice wanting to be heard.
