Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
yeah i held the imx pro jerkbait rod and didnt seem to impressed with it. but i really like the 845 crankbait rod and 906 crankbait rod as well. im curious about the new models coming out like the two chatterbait rods they even put the old cinnamon color on the rods im wondering if that goes all the way up the blank or if its just the bottom half

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
i dont know russ to be honest they are listed as fast tapered rods though.
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Not sure if this has been brought up already, any word on the Scorpion version of this reel. Will Shimano be producing a Scorpion 70 k?
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
They have produced a scorpion version of all the newest curados so far so they will most likely have one of this model coming out. I'm hoping they do anyways, I'd like a smaller version of the current scorpion mgl.
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
i just want this new MGL spool for my Engetsu. It already has the MM gears and as a bonus has an aluminum handle side plate. Stock spool bomb but can spool itself of 20# braid with a 4 inch Senko.

What braid are you using? Stock Engetsu spool here holds an awful lot of 20lb braid.LowRange wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:02 ami just want this new MGL spool for my Engetsu. Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Actually I was wrong. It is some sort of 20# 8 carrier. I think Trilene braid. I had 20# PP original on it before and didn't care for it.LowRange wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 6:23 amPP originalSore Thumb wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 12:28 amWhat braid are you using? So holds about 100yds? Thats still a long cast with a senko. Can you detect bites well enough at that distance?
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
I don't know how much it holds but it can cast almost all of it off with a 4 1/4 Stick-O. It doesn't do well into the wind or skip worth a darn but it long casts great. Dispensed line is not the same as casting distance. I don't know how far it casts but it caats far enough that I'm glad I have braid on it. I don't think I could get a good hookset in on nonbraid. Rod is Zodias 1610ML. The reel and rod really bomb 4 inch Senko type baits.Sore Thumb wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:15 amLowRange wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 8:06 pmActually I was wrong.
