It looks like a 90mm to me.

This is gonna make for the best yet ice fishing reel.
Although I have no need for the brake system for ice fishing.

But Daiwa has a Tatulion and "refreshed" Tatula's. Why would anyone want a good looking Curado K MGL???
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Its is an uglier but better Curado 70i. Still way better than the ZERO effort 2020 Tatula CT release. That was just sad. The Tatulion is just funny. Point and laugh funny.
Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Looks like the same handle length as it was before.

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Wonder if I should take my Metanium 2020 mgl off my green nrx 893 for this reel, closest reel I ever seen to match that rod. I actually won a bfl with the curado 70xg on my 893, so I know what that combo is capable of

If you compare the handle on the Curado 70 MGL to the 84mm handle on the Bantam you can see the new Curado has a 90mm handle. Look at the spacing between the cutout and the knob.

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Handle seems to be the same as the SLX and the Curado K - but for final colour. Will be the same off the Curado DC most likely.
Makes it a 90mm centre to centre of the knob Shafts / 100mm from end of plate to end of plate.

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Yeah, it looks like a longer handle. That is mandatory for any US release IMO. We like longer handles and chunkier knobs.

Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
It will match the IMX pro rods great. I will be purchasing one to replace my older 70 series and moving it to another rod.russ57 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:50 pmI will be pairing this new XG 70 with a GLX 842 for an all-around medium rod. Should be a blast for weightless senkos.
Personally I am not a fan of the color scheme. It is not going to match most rods very well. The older 70 would look good on a much wider variety of rods.

You are right, it would look sweet on that IMX-pro. To be honest though, I have handled the IMX pro at and its price point, it doesn't feel very impressive to me in hand. I have never fished with one though, so I could be wrong.Blacktail 8541 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 7:16 pmIt will match the IMX pro rods great. The IMX-Pro I bought in that Bantam combo last year from ALF felt like a SC Premier. Tip heavy, shiny, and stiff. Wasn't impressed. Good thing the rod was a gift and the reel was for me. So far the owner hasn't complained!russ57 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 7:35 pmYou are right, it would look sweet on that IMX-pro. Re: New Curado 70 mgl K
Each person interprets their sensitivity and balance differently. Are their more sensitive rods than the IMX Pro at their price point? Definitely. But they do have a place in my line up. The new curado 70 has new features and a color scheme that will match up very nicely.
