Shimano reel names

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Metanium: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Metanium-Nappy ... B000KUALAY :D

Have to say, Abumatic, Cardinal, Ambassadeur and Record are great names for reels :)

Although I think Vanford is a weird name for a spinning reel, I hope they are not eliminating the 'Stradic' name for it.

That would be a huge mistake. Everyone knows what a stradic is and they scream quality.

It would be like Aunt Jemima changing its syrup name after 130 years..

oh crap wait... lol

I just heard from a somewhat sketchy reliable source that Shimano Japan is going to debut the Chronford MGL and the Scorpford MGL 70 at the 2021 Yokohama fishing show.
