Actually its here that i imagine people use it more often than not when swapping spools.

I only use it after forgetting I had my mag dial on “0”

I like it. It’s hard to move and stays put once you find your preferred setting. The cast control on my old Chronarch 51Mg is so loose I swear it loosens just from making several casts all day. I could care less about clicks. I like it when knobs and dials stay put.

Useless to me. Always loosen spool tension “completely” - same with brakes and casting brakes - after a fishing trip.

Stretch the spring out that’s under the cast control knob or buy a new spring.MaxZmus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:32 pmI like it. It’s hard to move and stays put once you find your preferred setting. Problem would be the O ring that's given up the ghost friction wise.JBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:52 amStretch the spring out that’s under the cast control knob or buy a new spring.MaxZmus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:32 pmI like it. Good point. There isn’t an O ring on many of those older reels. Could be wrong on the 51mg. If there is a spring, no O ring. If there’s an O ring, no spring. Either way, easy fixSlazmo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 2:08 pmProblem would be the O ring that's given up the ghost friction wise.JBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:52 amStretch the spring out that’s under the cast control knob or buy a new spring.MaxZmus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:32 pmI like it. As long as we're talking the 50e platform they all have it. Otherwise I use a tacky anti-galling jointing compound TefGel which helps dough it down too.JBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 4:00 pmGood point. It's just a control knob that smaller. I like that it's a little harder to turn. If I need to adjust it, I adjust it, and I know it will stay until I need to adjust it again. No biggie.

Non event for me. I'm on my 2nd season with my Steez CT and haven't had the need to even touch it.
Re: Your opinion on the Daiwa's Zero Adjuster
I never touch them after I set them and the zeros come set up out of the box. I also think the zero adjuster is better looking too. Not on the Tatulas but the ones on the Steez look great.
Re: Your opinion on the Daiwa's Zero Adjuster
I’m an old fart that learned decades ago on Ambassadeur reels. The cast control was the only adjustment you had, and adjusted it every time you changed lures. So that’s always been my primary adjustment on a casting reel, the magnetic brakes are secondary. I don’t care for the zero adjuster at all, it just makes the cast control more difficult to adjust.

Yup. By design it is there to discourage you from doing what you are doing.Warhawk wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:52 amI’m an old fart that learned decades ago on Ambassadeur reels.
