Anyone here feel that zero adjusters on steez A are more loose and move easy?

I agree. The steez A adjuster is easier than the new tatula by far to adjust. I don't mind the adjuster. I just loosen it up and go.

it doesn't bother me as with daiwa reels I have always just set it to eliminate side play and use the magnets to do the job they are designed to do. only ever adjust it to when changing a spool and that's it. On the water I just adjust the mag dial and even then I don't touch that much. normally on position 3 with zillion sv spool in a Steez A.

Question: With the tension knob at factory setting, does your terminal gear free spool? I'm thinking of when I'm using it float fishing on a river, and I want the reel to free spool without any tension as the float moves down stream.

You will need to fine tune it- I have half a dozen with the so called zero adjuster that I use for float fishing steelhead and salmon

Personally I like having the option to adjust it. Depending on lure weight I feel like I can get a more controlled accurate cast.

Makes no real difference to me, compared to the typical knob. I still loosen it just a hair, then leave it alone until the end of time. Same as any other Daiwa.
Same here. Adjust it to barely have side to side play and let it be

I've always taken the "zero adjuster" thing as a suggestion

I guess Finnz922 are spot on in what Daiwa wanted with the z-adjust, don't matter to me. My new, first z-adjust Daiwa has a minimal play from factory and I will start so and then play around to my liking.

I always see this topic and really don't understand the issue, it's literally just a name for "you don't have to if you don't want to adjust it".

Seen some guys say they will change the spool tension knob on daiwa reels that mentions "zero adjuster" like it will make any difference. Literally zero difference if you want to adjust it.

I adjust mine for the typical slight play in the spool and I think if you service your reels often this is needed.
