Which one?
I need to get two more baitcasters and I don't know what to go with.
2 Bantam MGL's or 2 Metanium 20's?
The rods that will be used are the NRX 852c and GLX 842c
I sold both the older model Metaniums that where on these two rods.
I have one Bantam MGL on a NRX 843c and love it, I wonder if I should wait a bit longer to get
the two Metanium's or get the 2 Bantam's now....
Thoughts?

Re: Which one?
For lighter weights I would expect most to say Met. I haven't used my Bantam yet, but I've heard it is not very good for senkos, according to copycat site on youtube.
Personally I would definitely go Met.

Re: Which one?
The Bantam MGL can absolutely cast Senkos easily... but if you're looking for the ideal pairing for a couple of 2 power G.Loomis rods, I'd get the new Metanium.... it's also an MGL and the lighter weight of the reel will match up very well with the 2 power Loomis sticks.

I can bomb 5" senko's all day with the Bantam.
Sounds like I will have to wait a bit longer for the Metanium.

Re: Which one?
I’d wait for the Met on the 2 power. I have the JDM xg and it’s great. It palms a touch smaller than the bantam which is already tiny, much lighter and just as solid feeling.
Re: Which one?
I've read that some NRXs are pretty tip heavy, in which case I'd see the advantage of a Bantam to help balance it out. I know having a lighter reel would make for a lighter combo overall so it probably wouldn't feel that tip heavy in practice, but I love the feel of a lightweight combo that is pretty balanced (like my Helium3 6'8LMH + Bantam). It still feels pretty dang light.
Maybe get 1 Bantam and 1 Met?

One of each is always acceptable!

Re: Which one?
I got the Met 20 yesterday and have about 7 hours on it. I got it for 1/16-1/4 oz T-rigs and all I can say is wow. I love the core solid frame and was on the fence with the Bantam due to reviews about it not doing well with light baits. I think the Bantam has a similar frame to the Met 20 so now I'm looking to get one for T-rigs and use the Met for weightless plastics.

Re: Which one?
I have both. To me i use the bantam for moving baits that have some resistance like chatterbaits etc. If i was to put one of either 2 power loomis rods I'd definitely go woth the 20 met. I also have the glx 842 and love that rod but i have a alde on it .

Re: Which one?
Is it true the JDM Metanium 20 has a 70 size spool?
Re: Which one?
Everyone should buy the 2020Met so Daiwa understands we want quality reels, not a Tatula.
