19 shimano antares

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

19 shimano antares

I sold a few reels and ordered a 19 antares. For those that have them or used one is it much better than my 20 metainum of steez sv tw?

The antares is definitely a special reel. I haven't fished the other two reels you mentioned, but I've compared it to reels up to the metanium dc and it's definitely got that it factor over the others.

I had a few of the Antares 70’s and they are phenomenal reels indeed. After some time the weight became the only factor as why I sold them. I currently use the 2020 metanium and like them a lot. Solid feel , light and palpable plus a great caster.
