Daiwa 20 Admira A100
Came across this. Looks like a Alphas Air TW frame weighing in at 160g with a 30mm spool. I know this is a jigging reel, but for under $200, it's got my tinkering mind thinking!

That would hold roughly 75 yards of a #40 braid

Wonder if that spool is similar to the ct sv reels. Might be a good bottom contact reel.

That spool is a centrifugal brake spool, so not interchangeable with SV reels. If you wanted to change it over, you'd have to buy the palm plate guts from an alphas sv tw, plus an SV spool.Finesse Angler wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 1:19 pmWonder if that spool is similar to the ct sv reels. Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

So you’re saying there’s a chance...hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 4:47 pmThat spool is a centrifugal brake spool, so not interchangeable with SV reels. Hard to tell with the translation if they are just projecting or giving facts, lol.

If this is factual, then it seems this is a unicorn. All Daiwa jigging reels in the past have been cetrifugal brake. The Aird is an example; it is an Alphas frame with centri-brakes. As you said, it might be conjecture. If it is, in fact, a magnetic-braking reel, then I will be an early adopter.MountainMan 83 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 5:58 pmFound this bit of info: http://tzlure.com/daiwa-20-admira-a.html

Most of the Japanese light jigging reels seem to hold about the same. Given the intended use of this reel or Shimano's Stile range, 200m of PE1 is a fair bit. Say 200 yards of good quality Japanese 20+lb braid.
Re: Daiwa 20 Admira A100
Good to know that Daiwa is re-using the superb Alphas Air TW frame for other reels.
Can't wait to see some Alphas CT SV TW, Alphas SV105 TW or whatever they will call it

That mag dial protrusion looks too smooth to be a mag dial to me. No dial means no mag brakes.

If it is a super light spool with a decent centrifugal brake it might be pretty good either way, like a Pixy SPR.
