Finally

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Finally

Found an immaculate IP68 to go with my IP79

Thanks for looking out for me TTer’s
Now I’ve got to sell something

The IP68 will go on my PV rod.
For whatever reason I’ve always wanted one for that rod. The gold accents alone are good but I think the gear ratio will make it an EVEN more versatile combination. Not sure where that leaves the IP79 but I’m awaiting a custom jig rod on the point blank blank and I’m hoping it will fill that void.

Love my IP68. Such a butter smooth tank of a reel.

Without derailing this thread, reels and waterproof ratings is getting out of control...

Agreed.

I would rather have smooth effortless retrieve than the feeling of seals slowing down my reel, but
I only fish fresh water and the last time I dunked a reel was when I was wading a river and fell in with my
Chronarch D7.

I’d love to find a nib 68 to go with my nib 79

That has been my goal for some time now. A pair is less than two, so I’m just grateful for the TTer’s on the look out. If I run across one I’d definitely let you know.

Got my IP 68 on my PV, also. Great combo. Lower gear for moving baits and more power for frogs in heavy cover.
