Re: Daiwa steez 2020
The Steez CT is an incredible reel, yes. It's the smallest, lightest Steez of the current 3 US models, but does have more limited line capacity than Steez SV TW or Steez A. I've had no capacity issues however fishing 14# Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai with jigs/worms and casting as normal. If for example I wanted a reel for distance casting 3/4 oz FB jigs with 20# line, I'd go with the Steez A out of the three. All three of the current Steez models are excellent reels as you'd imagine, you just have to decide your application and pick the one that is best suited.

Re: Daiwa steez 2020
It is an ultra finesse oriented, but an extremely impressive BFS reel, by far the best I've used.

FWIW, the A is a killer all around reel, I was shocked when I used mine the first time back to back with my Bantam MGL and Met. MGL, I couldn't believe what I had been missing! Simply the Finest bait casting reel I have ever used and that includes besting my Antares that now has a new owner.

Re: Daiwa steez 2020
I'm always glad to see someone else appreciate the Steez A as much as I do. I've slowly added a few more and a few more to my regular rotation. It was still hard to retire some original Zillions, SV103's, and even a TD-Z or two, but the Steez A is just so good and fun to use, that decision was made a little easier!Kurt L wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:40 pmFWIW, the A is a killer all around reel, I was shocked when I used mine the first time back to back with my Bantam MGL and Met. My favorite Steez is the Steez EX
Second is the Steez Ltd

You'll be glad you got the A. I like both A and SV TW Steez, not to mention CTbronzebacks wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 10:03 amDam it. You guys just talked me into a steez a. Do y'all like it better than the steez sv tw? I really like my steez sv tw and I'm a shimano fan boy
I think of the differences between Steez A and Steez SV TW as similar to those between the original Zillion and TD-Z to over simplify things. I tend to use the A for more power fishing presentations and the SV TW more for "finesse power" applications.

Yeah I have that one on an Otomat.
It’s a gem of a reel. Once I got a Steez the shimano population started to shrink.

Re: Daiwa steez 2020
I still have an original Steez 103 and 100, great reels no doubt. I am in the camp that much prefers the newer versions. Regardless personal preferences, any Steez is going to be a quality reel. I was throwing finesse top water baits with fantastic distance and ease this weekend using the new Steez CT paired with a Megabass P5 OneTen Special... love that reel!!

I don’t want to but I think I prefer the Steez A over my many OG Steez 100/103/105ltd/103TN ltd. The Morethan PE is amazing too
