Alphas sv tw with some line capacity

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Saw this on IG and thought it was new. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Seems like the perfect Texas Rig reel. 8.1 ratio and 32mm "deep" SV spool.

If it is like the Alphas AIR TW...gonna be a great reel.

Was only a matter of time. Kinda wish I would have held off on my CT 70 purchase, but it will be nice to compare.

Don’t remember exactly where I saw it but the spool is 33mm just like the old Alphas.

That's the one I've been waiting on! Gotta have a serious discussion with Santa now.....and if it is, in fact 32mm and the same width as a normal Pixy/old Alphas, then a spare spool will also be coming for my SS Air.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

The spool is indeed 32mm. Zero adjustor. Strange looking gear cover for Daiwa, and I'm not sure what the hyper drive gearing is going to be 🤔. Wish the T Wing was black, but at least it's not gold. Definitely gonna grab one, though I doubt the performance will be all that different from the CT version. The spools inductor looks a bit on the large side.

I can live with the 32mm spool.

Any word on price yet? I'm thinking this will be of a similar price to the Alphas Air TW and not the Alphas CT. Either way, the Alphas is my favorite platform so I'll probably get it anyway.

I will hold off till I see some honest reviews.
Ct has been such a great performing reel for me that it is hard to imagine this new twing version beating it.

Same here, I love my CTs. One of them has the SV700S spooled with 8lb J-braid, I was out yesterday throwing Z-Vibers for perch. Those baits are sold as 1/16, but weigh out slightly less at 1.6g.

This one is different. Idk if it will be worth selling your CT for it or not but, probably worth getting the TW over the CT as a new purchase
