Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Wow that’s a large price increase over the outgoing model. I wonder if this will obsolete the Steez A?

Second video is now up.
I wish to retract my earlier comment about it being more like the size of a Steez CT. After seeing the reel in the anglers hands it is clearly standard size, meaning there is hope that other 34mm spools will fit it.

Ehrler is in the video so the odds of it coming stateside just went to 100%. It does look good on a Tatula Elite rod.

In my opinion spool looks like std. width 34 mm size in the video.
I'm really keen to see how they made that '2 level rotor function'..

There's been very few problems with Daiwa's duralumin gears to date, even on heavy duty reels like the Morethan and the Steez A. I feel like Daiwa has gotten it right with this, much moreso than Shimano. Not hating on Shimano, just pointing out what's already been discussed at length here on the forum.
It's not a bad-looking reel. I might pick up a couple later on, but not until adequate time has passed and I am sure they aren't problematic.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

A lot of talk about distance but no distant casts in the video. Ehrler was the only one putting any energy into his casts but it looks like he had it setup for thumb free casting.

Might be my imagination but it looks like we can see a glimpse of the inductor spring in the video. I wonder if it is a cone shaped progressive spring?

I love the looks. Also says full metal body. I wonder if it’s just the frame, frame+handle side plate, or frame and both side plates.

The frame, gear-side plate and the set plate inside the palm plate are aluminum.

Is the zillion on an updated tatula frame or does it share the same frame as the steez?

One of the more intriguing Project T videos I've seen.
