Dream baitcaster

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I have a few that to me are absolutely perfect in their configuration.

LIN 10 with SLP works 1010 spool
Steez SV TWS with KTF NEO spool
Megabass IS 71 with ZPI PG Spool
PX Type R with ZPI CP-301 spool
TDZ R+, Personal Order & Ito reels with upgraded drags & handles and NEO or PG spools

I would say a z2020 but 1016 sized. That reel is IMO their greatest reel produced

This.

Ensure it is sub 7oz / 200g with Mag3D side plate (upgraded to all aluminum if possible)
Call it the Daiwa Z3D (said like zed).
Raw Aluminum frame with anodized color rather than paint.
The line guide is taller like the Zillion/TDZ/TDX and extra-wide but speeds up at the edges of the spool when retrieving to make line lay correctly on the spool

Default config readily available is gunmetal silver with flat black accents and hints of color to match gear ratio with brass gears, new Zillion handle and knobs and new Boosted SV Spool. Ghost Z3D logo on the palm plate in the style of the Zillion Type R.

Offer it also via a fully custom order process.
Choice of Aluminum or Brass gears with the new clicking drag as an option.
Choice of Spools including the new Boosted MagZ or SV spool choices, as well as classics like the 103 R+, RCS1016, RCS1010, HLC, SV AIR, etc.
Choice of all of the Diawa knobs and handles and drag stars.
Choice of many frame anodization colors.
Choice of several hole patterns for the top of the main frame (or none).

Finally, offer clear precut protective grippy decal sets for the main frame and sideplate to protect the finish.
