Remember the Daiwa's "connected feel"?

Remember the well known "connected feel" when talking about older Daiwa reels, most of which were using aluminium gears? That is gone. Now, the higher end reels feel like ice, you don't feel anything at all when under load (which is a very good thing). I think that back then, Daiwa reels were simply not on par with Shimano when it comes to the smoothness department, and we were all just trying to find an excuse with this "connected feel" thingy
