What’s the next letter?

Those of us who’ve been around the pond a few times have seen the gear ratios on reels increase to seemingly astronomical numbers in recent years.

What I find amusing are the letters some manufacturers like Shimano and Daiwa use to shorthand these models, H, HG, X, XG, etc.. “H” for high extended from 6 through 7 to ones. X/XG is being used for everything over 8.

My question is, what’s next? Do manufactures continue to extend the range of “X” or is there another letter they can use? What do you think?
