SsSv help
Is there a way to put a clicking drag cap on this reel?
I’ve upgraded the gears to 7.9:1
Real Four 1016 G1 spool
Carbonex drag
Ziaon long arm drag star and 90mm handle with Steez A knobs
Steez nose piercing
I think that’s is a good bit but I want a clicking ccc or I’ll just get rid of it.
Seems unfair cause all my Steez reels have the clinking ccc
Please help

Re: SsSv help
I had one with an slp works dress up kit and it had the parts to convert it to a clicking CCC so yeah it’s available to do.

I’m on the look out now thanks

Re: SsSv help
SLP works had a kit to change the og tatula to a clicking cc cap. Its the same thread pattern as the Steez/SS SV, so should work fine. The tatula kit comes with a cc cap, but it has that stupid tribal spider on it. I know someone who put that kit on a Fuego and used a TDZ cc cap.

Re: SsSv help
Wish there was a kit for the steez tw i don't want their crappy zero adjuster.
Re: SsSv help
I have a Steez A spool in my SS/SV. Wish I had put the 8 ratio gears in my 7.1. I use mine for cranking and jerkbaits on a 7ft medium moderate rod, really like the reel though, might change it to a contact rod where I'd use it more. Worst thing about that reel is the super low drag pressure stock...
Re: SsSv help
The 8:1 conversion kit from TTT changes the drag to a multidisc stacked drag. Gives it a much stronger drag vs the stock single disc.DirtyD64 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:16 amI have a Steez A spool in my SS/SV. Wish I had put the 8 ratio gears in my 7.1. Just the stock spool with a Rays kit to help free it up some.
Re: SsSv help
I beg someone else to try the Steez A spool in there... It loses some light lure casting ability, but something with the over braked profile reduces when a Magforce Z spool is added. I use 12lb fluoro with a cranking rod and it BOMBS baits. Main reason I used the SS/SV for cranking was the lower stock drag pressure. I wish someone else would try it and see if I am crazy...

Re: SsSv help
You aren't crazy. Most of the braking profile is in the spool, not the magnets. Magnet strength does make a difference, as in the type r+ spool is wild in a steez, but excellent in a TDZ. One of the ss sv I used to fish had a steez 100 spool in it and that mag-z spool would absolutely bomb a squarebill.DirtyD64 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:13 amI beg someone else to try the Steez A spool in there...
