Based on my short experience with abu and lews I vote lews. I had revo sx and the cheapest lews, used them side by side and much preferred the lews.

I like my Abu and Lew's reels, but love my Helios Air reels and the regular Helios ain't half bad.

I really really like my Lew's Custom SLP. Shockingly smooth, and I throw Steez, Metaniums, Aldebarans, etc.

Quantum. Love my Tour S3. Can only get them on fleabay but they typically go for $120 or so, retailed for $199. Killer reel, casts a mile. I have Curados but often grab the rod with the S3 because I love it so much.

Here in 2023, after Daiwa and Shimano, it doesn't matter to me!

I've used Daiwa for over 43 years. I still use Daiwa, and still buy them. Over the years, I've bought some Shimano and Abu Garcia. So my choice would be Abu Garcia.
