Do You Use Spinning Reels?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I can't believe what your saying. Their trying to save money.....IMO There is no way you shouldn't be able to back reel.
There is no better way to play a big bass and the reel makers don't care. I might be old, but i not that old!!!

Agreed, but that's how they spin it.
You know winding your spinning reel in reverse allows some of the lost wiped off grease to recoat the main gears teeth.

Are there any high end spinning reels that still support the anti-reverse component?

Not "high end"...

Daiwa Procyon AL LT still has it, and it's a nice mid-tier reel.

Re visiting this thread, I just ordered a C2000SHG Stradic FM. Was worried for a bit, would have rather put the money into a full size bass reel. Either way it was cheap, and spinning reels serve as easy fun for everyone. This will make my 4th spinner and own 13 casting reels. This will probably be my last spinner for a while unless something groundbreaking comes along.

I'm the OP of this thread. I started this, because the fishing was super tough last year, and I thought lighter baits with spinning gears might help. I used the spinning twice last year, and that was it. I just didn't like them, as I already knew. This year, it's not as tough as last year, so never even thought about using the spinning gear. :D
