Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

newer tatula sv spool options?

Post by Jason Penn » Mon Apr 10, 2023 7:17 am

what options are there for the newer tatula sv's? i've got 1 of each gear ration, and 1 of the spools goes from choked to wild in 1 click.

i've swapped the spools depending on which line i wanted to save, and noticed the when i had braid on it and in a 7:1 i wasn't really getting very good distance. i changed the line to fc and was using that spool in the 6:1 this past weekend and i had the brake dial down to 2.

Besides the DIY spools, this is the only one I found. A shallow SV. https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/4816

You can try a Ray's inductor swap to one of the spools.

Sounds like your inner magnet ring might have come loose from the casing.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Yep, this can help. Ray's inductor is broader, thinner and lighter. So with Ray's inductor Magforce initial setting is typically higher than in standard. And because of for same braking force is needed higher setting, Magforce can be adjusted more precisely, due to effect between 1 set has less effect to brake force.
