SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
Has anyone tried one of the boost spools in one of the original Steez SV reels, or a TDZ platform? I'm thinking about buying the shallow version to try in these, but I'm not sure if it's going to be overly wild or not.

I used SV Boost Zillion spool with 15 lb PE with Steez SV TW 1016 reel, if you interesting. I paired it with 7-21 g M-power rod and fish bottom contact jig + soft lures. It cast very comfortable and a little further if compared with "original SV". I think it versatellite spool and can be used with mono or fluorocarbone + cranks, vib and minnows.

Thank you. I run the Zpi Nrc001-m spool in my Steez SV TW reels. Have you tried it by any chance?

No, unfortunately not. I use only original 1016 spool, SV Boost and chinese DIY (KKR, Roro, etc).

I bought this SV Boost G1 1000 (non-shallow version) 34mm about a year ago and it it very wild in my older TD Zillions and TD Fuegos with spacers, and also my Steez SV and SV103 34 mm spool platforms. Are the magnets in the newer Daiwa boost reels stronger because with the magnets on all of these reels turned all of the way up you have to tighten down the cast control cap to get the spool to slow down. I don't like to have to do this because it creates tension on the retrieve. Also, Is anyone fishing the early SV spools in the new Zillion? I would guess that they would be over-braked.
