Either the Dobyns DX744 or DX745 with the DX745 getting the nod more often than not. I was using 16lb (DX744) or 20lb (DX745) Sunline Sniper. Reels are Chronarch D7. I've recently gone back to braid. Right now, spooled up with 50lb Suffix Performance Braid with approx. a 4' leader tied with the Alberto knot. If hadn't stocked up on the SPB, I would have purchased Suffix 832. I'm using the 832 for other apps & like it.

50lbs Sunline FX2 on a homemade 7'8" heavy mod/fast flippin rod with a supertuned Daiwa Alphas 103 type F on it. I have used a short fluoro leader in the past, but I haven't since switching to the FX2. In the last couple of month I've grown really fond of the Nextlevellures crawbug. Adam at nextlevel makes some great colors and the crawbug has a little more action than most of the beaver style baits out there.

Daiwa Steez Compile-X 7'1H paired with a Airy Red Pixy that is spooled with 50lb Suffix 832 and on occasion a 15 or 20lb fluoro leader.

Either a 7'MH custom on a Batson RX8 blank with an Alphas 103L spooled with Sunline Sniper FC or...

A 7'2" H custom on a Lami IMC865 with a Fuego spooled with #55 Samurai braid

Depends on cover.

I use an 8 ft steez flippin rod with a steez 7.1, 20lb inviz FC, 4/0 RI* flip h0ook, 1/4oz weight-all that is required is to think where you want the beaver to go with this outfit

Thank you all...

I'm currently using a DX745, Core 101Mg with 25# Lake Fork Fluorohybrid Pro, and I not really liking the thickness of the 25# line and was considering using a different line, however at this time I do not know what line.

For those of you who use braid with a fluoro leader. . . what's the purpose of the leader - fish will see the braid, easier to break a snag, etc. :?:

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback... Don
