Line for Lipless Cranks
What size and brand of line do you guys use for a 3/4oz lipless crank?
Re: Line for Lipless Cranks
30 lbs Sufix 832 with a 15lbs InvizX leader.

15lb Izorline Platinum has been great for me on lipless. I would like to try some 30lb 832, but I need to use the line I got for a while, instead of buying more.

I too thought the 832 would be a good line, but I was wrong. For me, It frayed over about 3 weeks of fishing.KCL655321 wrote:15lb Izorline Platinum has been great for me on lipless. I would like to try some 30lb 832, but I need to use the line I got for a while, instead of buying more.

I would say that if you were using a glass rod, less stretch would be ideal (flouro or braid). If you are chucking it on graphite ,then I would use 14# mono.

I use 30-40 lb Sufix Performance Braid with a 25 lb Fluoro leader (toothy critters in my waters). I throw lipless cranks on a fast action rod in order to rip the cranks through the weeds.
