I know this is has probably been asked before but does copolymer float? and does anyone use it for their topwater baits instead of mono?

Most monos and copolys sink slowly once water tension is broken.

100% fluorocarbon will sink faster.

By the way, coplymer is just a buzz word... they are just a soup mix of different ingredients, the same as most monos today.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you may be referring to a line like P-line Fluoroclear that is a fluorocarbon coated nylon (or the other way around). I would not use this, personally. There are a couple of lines like this out there, but the vast majority of "copolymers" are exactly as stated above and interchangeable with the word monofilament. It (mono/copoly) would be the choice for topwater, if not using braid or braid w/leader.
